Coaching: space — and process — for the conversations that matter most.

Coaching is about creating space — and a process — for people who need to reflect on the past, present or future. It gives structure and shape to the conversations that matter most, and it puts those conversations firmly in your hands.

Thousands of hours, a single purpose.

I’ve not recorded every hour of coaching I’ve provided but I estimate it to be a few thousand — mostly with senior people in a wide range of work settings: through periods of change and uncertainty, embedded within leadership development programmes, during demanding projects, and at the start of new responsibilities.

Whatever the setting, the purpose is the same — to help you make sense of what’s happening, solve the problems in front of you, and make decisions you can commit to.

How we work.

My approach is shaped by solutions-focused thinking. I’m less interested in dwelling on what isn’t working than in building on what is, and on the future you want to move towards.

I aim for a careful balance between support and challenge: enough support that you can think clearly and openly, and enough challenge that you don’t settle for the easy answer. The sessions belong to you — I bring the questions and the process, you bring the agenda.

What you can expect.

Good coaching raises your awareness of your own situation and the options open to you. It helps you see things from a different point of view, test your assumptions, and arrive at choices that feel both bold and genuinely your own.

The evidence of successful coaching is in changed perceptions and awareness, renewed confidence, and a clear commitment to action.
